Your recommendations please :)
I'm going to invest in a half descent espresso maker and wondered if any of you have any favourites? I know the bean has a lot to do with it but also believe that the machine will have some impact on the taste too.
If I'm wrong, please do tell me as I'm no specialist.
Could do with make and model of your recommendation, price and where I can get it from in Dubai.
Thanks all and a very happy Xmas to you

And this machine gives coffee that's the same or better than freshly ground, good quality beans? Are the pods expensive?

first I wish you a good luck, second, any business you want to do here coasts too much, approximately not less than 75000 DHs.
so, if you have this amount, go on and good luck my friend....
Invite me when you open your business, ok?
good luck...

Just got a Nespresso for the office. Can't remember the model, but does espresso size, double-espresso, and the biggest about half a teacup--but you can top up with hot water from the machine. Coffee tastes good. No frothing or anything fancy. Machine was about 5k, can't remember how much the pods are--will let you know when I get back to the office. Probably a bit to industrial for home use, though.

I know it is a bit naff but I got one of the little aluminium alloy stove top pots for about £20 - use every day and takes up no space.

Definitely not naff. That's how the Italian's make coffee--I use one regularly at home, and the purity of the device means its all down to the quality of the coffee.

I don't like the coffee machines - my prob but do agree that the beans or grounds make it.
