Hi all,
A possibility has arisen which could involve a move to Yanbu. Having been an expat in the Middle East before, this part of the world isn't new to me, however, my only concern is the schooling. I can't find much on schools in Yanbu, people in older threads talk about a school which closed down a few years ago. The two that have come up are Alhussan International School and Radhwa International School and from their websites, they don't look particularly great. I am a teacher (and have taught in the Gulf), so could homeschool as a last option, but I would love to know what fellow Brits are doing about their children's schooling. My children would be in Year 1 & 2. Of course any information on schooling or anything Yanbu related would be great, forums on facebook seem to also be very much bachelors/buy sell forums.

Schooling to western standards is non existent. Many people have left and are leaving due to this and some are doing online teaching and/or extra tutoring online and when they travel back to home countries.
An American international school was due to arrive this year…but they couldn’t get numbers and/or a license from MoE.

Hi, I have informed by the the school the American International (Jeddah) has been granted a license to operate in Yanbu. They are working on an open date of August 2025 for KG1-Grade 5 initially. Estimate cost is 55-60K per year/per child.
They are currently refurbishing an existing building/facility, recruitment due to start in Feb 25, enrolment to commence Mar-Jul 25.
