Default Working in Dubai HELP

Hi i have searched this forum to try and find answers but nothing i can see which is specific for my topic as far as i can see. I apologise if this has been covered and appreciate anyone who can point me in the right direction.

So i have a joinery installation company who supplies high end installers to cabinet makers here in the uk. We have been approached by one of our clients who has a 19 week project in Dubai who would like us to install for them. We are paid by the UK company, dont have a contract but simply invoice at the end of each week dependant on the hours we have done. Do i need visas for my guys who will be travelling back and forth to Dubai and if so which ones. Any help would be much appreciated as i just cant seem to get to the bottom of this.

Thanks

Ben

you will need visa's. Suggest you appoint a visa specialist and include as part of costs. Avoid working without a contract...it is VERY common and highly likely you won't be paid on time....

i have an extremely good relationship with this company so payments will not be an issue. I am more concerned about which visa to obtain. Can yourself or anyone recommend a specialist?

Use your relationship to obtain visas through their visa experts. Or just ask google for these services.

Thanks for your reply. I will continue to search the internet in that case to se what i can find. All i have previously looked at before seems to have you needing to apply for residency visas which i don’t think applies to me considering the guys will probably only be working on 3 week runs then returning home for a week inbetween. The hunt continues…..

Im pretty sure that the visa in these circumstances has to be applied for by a company in the UAE who are hiring in the workers. It cant be done by a company not operating in UAE.

https://www.timeoutdubai.com/news/uae-one-mission-visa

A one-mission visa in Dubai is a type of temporary work visa designed for individuals who need to work on a specific project or during a probation period. Here are some key details:
  • Duration: It allows you to stay and work in Dubai for up to 90 days.
  • Purpose: Ideal for short-term assignments, specific projects, or probationary periods.
  • Application Process: Your employer handles the application through the Ministry of Human Resources & Emiratisation (MOHRE).
  • Requirements: Typically include a contract from the hiring company, your passport, a photograph, educational certificates, and company-related documents like a trade license and establishment card.
  • Cost: The visa costs range from Dhs500 to Dhs600, with an additional application fee of Dhs100 and a deposit of Dhs3,000.
This visa is a convenient option if you need to work in Dubai temporarily without committing to a long-term residency.
