Work in DIFC, where to stay?
Hi All,
Currently in talks for an opportunity in DIFC and looking for a villa with a budget of 180k. Hope is to keep my commute to under 30 mins, is it possible? Will need to be close to nurseries as we have a 3 yr old accompanying us.
Appreciate your help/ suggestions.

Smaller, older villa in Jumeirah or Umm Suqeim would be my preference. Close to the office, amenities, near the beaches, central location.
Other options are further afield. Springs, Ranches, JVC, JVT, Victory Heights. All these places will offer a 3-bedder for your budget.
Then there's Mirdiff....

Thank you, Mirdif is close by as per Google maps but traffic and airport noise is a concern. How is the commute from the east side?
Also, I am planning a trip in September to check things out, how do you engage a real estate agent? Just call?? What is the usual fee?
Thank you again, much appreciated.

Silicon Oasis - The Villas is it? Probably worth a look.
Or, to echo - something in Jumeirah. Although getting across and to it may be slow with traffic.

Thank you, Silicone Oasis looks good. Jumeirah is central but based on pictures the old villas are.... old. We're in that phase of life where quiet works and will need a small backyard. Appreciate it!

Then it's a Barratt home on the Truman Show
Just a FYI that building standards are pretty dire across Dubai. Property ages very quickly here. It's best to have a villa with a responsible landlord regardless of the age, than a brand new villa with a landlord who couldn't care less.
Look into an Arenco property. They own lots of modestly sized villas and are known for pretty good quality maintenance and oversight.
