Winter what to bring

Hi guys my hubby is already in Al ain working and I am soon to follow - yeah Ive been left with packing house up and everything else ;-)) anyway just packing my case and wondered do I need jeans jackets and boots - does it get cold in the winter ... got some jumpers as I know the air con is cold when we was in dubai in May but not sure what to bring whilst living there ..Many thanks Fizzy

Re: Winter what to bring

It doesn't get really cold, but I do like to wear boots in wintertime just to have a change from the eternal flipflops...you will probably wear full length jeans etc in winter, and longsleeve tops...no need for proper coats though.
You do get proper winter fashion in the shops and some people (women) do actually wear wintery clothes...

Remember to keep a coat and jumper for when you RETURN to the UK. Nothing worse than turning up in the UK in winter without warm clothes!

that reminds me of parts of spain... it's about 25 there in the winter and yet they're all wrapped up because it's "supposed" to be winter...

Ah, harsh...

Guess I'll be skiing now and then, since I'm starting to think sending my bicycle over might not be a good idea, and it's gonna be too hot to run... still, at least there's a rowing club!

if you got plenty of space in your container, bring it...
the suits they give you at SkiDubai are horrendous, and the selection in the shops is poor.

Thanks for the advice. Will see how we're doing - no furniture and a generous allowance, thankfully!

Hope the waitlist for the flight on Tuesday clears :D
