So far so good (apart from the windscreen being cracked by a stone off a lorry :curse

Maybe you should wait til the charging comes in and you get your little sticker for your car as it says that it cannot be put on top of the tinting ... not sure how it will work if you have your windows tinted

I was thinking about that - was going to get that first. 1200 dhs seems really cheap NL! someone else told me it was about 3 grand. How much at ICON??

I had my windows tinted with Al Habtoor when I purchased the car and paid 800dhs then. But that is just on a two-door.

I don't know the cost at Icon. I had some other work done there - tow bar fitted. That was much cheaper than elsewhere. You can call 'em up http://www.icon-auto.com/

They use genuine 3m tinting products with a written 5 years 3M guarantee.
My Golf was tinted there (30 odd % tint on all windows except front screen) for Dhs800. Leave your car for 1 hour and a team of technicians (one per window) get to work.
To be honest, tinting is only partially effective at reducing interior temperatures. If you park your car all day in the sun the car will warm up through conduction (heat passing through the body panels into the car).
I have heard mixed reports about V-Cool. In my honest opinion (and being a bit of a car buff), I think their product is over-rated and over-priced.
