MM is bang-on. It's very standard messageboard practice (not just on the BE Forum) to make "read me" threads both sticky and closed - they're there purely for information, they're not up for discussion.
And given the speed with which threads here become totally irrelevant and off-topic - as this one demonstrates - it's just as well
