Hi All,

I will be in Dubai for xmas and i wondered if any could reccomend the best place to go for a xmas dinner?? It will be the first xmas away from home for me and the Mrs so i was keen to find somewhere nice to remind us of home (for that day only!)

Mina salam, AlQasr, Spectrum on One, Yalumba are the best I think, but you will find that most places are already booked up.
It depends what you want, boisterious pub or elegant restaurant or combination of the 2?

How about roast turkey and all the trimmings al fresco? The Irish Village may be your best option...also at only 20% of the prices charged by Patsy's suggested venues.

Mine was pretty good last year...parsnips, sprouts and all...well, in case you were wondering, you cannot really expect a lady born and raised in Africa to know how to cook a traditional British Xmas roast so its one day in the year when I do the honours.

Yes but mine does have lobster, oysters, pork,Thai,Chinese,Sushi and Paella
as well as the traditional Christmas roast. Plus Bellinis, margauritas, and freeflowing bubbly stuff. at 350dhs or so it is a bargain!!!
Oh and lovely terrace or inside.

Most places were booked some time ago.

Al Qasr is now full.

Latitude in Jumeriah Beach Hotel is good value, they had some spaces last week.

Not sure about Fairmont - the robbing barstools were charging 800dh for an adult (400dh last year) and 400dh for any children under 12.

That is certainly a mouth watering menu...which "mine" at Dhs.350 do you mean?
