where to go??
hi there..
im moving to dubai in the next few months, can you give me some idea where i should look for accommodation? i can afford max 5k dirham a month. where is the most popular place for people to be, im 25 single and play a load of squash so want decent nightlife and squash/sports facilities.
also if sharing a flat or villa with a number of others is it expected to pay 6 months upfront? would be a hell of a lot easier to pay per month for me!!

it will depend where you will be working.
5k a month is only going to get you a flat/villa share. forget getting your own place on that.
plenty are available on monthly payment

i would say 5k a month is plenty for a decent place.

in Mirdiff yes.
In Jumeirah or Umm Suqeim it will not be so easy to find a shared room for 5k.
thats what I pay now and they are always trying to push prices up.
I looked at a few en-suite rooms which were over 6k.

Inselaffen is right (for once!
) most places are 6k and above, plus they want either a deposit or 6months in advance.
