Reminds me of a little occasion in Jakarta last year.
OK each year the school (British International School) hold it's annual ball, each with a theme. Last year was "Diamonds and Tiaras"......so there was the group of PTA mums all discussing the whys and wherefores etc, etc over many cups of tea.....or G & T's.
After many G & T's it was decided that indeed "White Ties and Tiaras" were the order of the day. So the posters, invitations, caterers, backdrops, advertising, place names, gifts etc, etc, etc were organised.
Hours and hours later, the riff raff still remain....it was being held at the BE residence and G & T's were still being served. Conversation turned as to where we could all purchase our white ties and tiaras.....oh this shop and that shop blah, blah, blah.
Suddenly the Ambassadors wife jumps up in major shock and horror....."Oh my Lord but my tiara is in the safe back home in Buckinghamshire".
Silence....total, utter silence.........pause, take a deep breath Jools just don't say a thang..........can she hold it, can she stop her self...........????
NNOOOOOOOOOO, JB shrieks out "Ohh you stupid mare you don't need a real one!!!!!!"
Silence.................total silence LOL
I saw her on the night....she had her tiara on from the safe........she made sure I noticed and oh my word what a ****ing difference it made.......NOT

Hahaha nope the last Ambassadors wife I met...her name was Jane, he was white ...British , she was Jamacan, named Jane, lovely lady.....I stole her cheese....I just love going for the shock tactics.......bigest laughs always LOLOL
