what car should i get??
Right, some general advice sought please
I need to get hold of a new motor soon as the wife is going take my motor. She currently has a company car a 2006 merc c class (C180), which as she may be leaving work soon, they said they will sell her the car. We estimate that this will rush us around 85,000AED So i can either take the merc (its white and for me white cars are just wrong) or i can get an equivalent. 85-100k Stipulations: 2 years old max low mileage 4 doors (not too happy about that clause, so we can negotiate on that one!) obviously it needs rear seats so a 2 seater TT/Boxter etc is out Really want an M3 convertable but i need to double the budget for that:( |

What are those dodge chargers like??? if Miss E was here she would force you to get a Stanger, MM would say an Aston (not enough money), I would probably go for an Audi (not sure how expensive they are) or a Chevvy Lumina SS.

BC NOT an american car as they are really just crap (in my humble opinion obviously) Audi would be nice, but i would want an Rs4 (again out of budget) whats a stanger?? Aston, very good, ill have 2:D |

Maybe a 2 year old Evo?? That might be more than 100k though. A 4 door Golf Gti you can pick up for about Dh80,000, with an A3 3.2 V6 going for a little bit more. |

How do you figure that one?
Both cars made for roughly the same price and have the same 1970s muscle car revival styling. The Mustang is a sub 30,000 dollar car in the states. It's about Dh90,000 to buy the V8 in America I believe. Mr Al Tayer must be laughing all the way to the bank...don't they charge more than Dh130,000 for the same car here? |

I have, both corner like a train stuck on a straight track (due to the pre-historic suspension), although the charger handles marginally better.
Both pretty average cars, with massive Hemo V8s shoehorned in and a splash of classical styling (the best bit IMHO) The best of the bunch will be the retro Challenger which is coming out in the states later this year. But the Stang is still the most overpriced car, pound for pound in the UAE. |

Thank goodness I don't have to worry about too many corners in Dubai!! If I wrap it round a palm tree no one would notice anyway!
I would say the styling is a bit more than a splash where the Mustang is concerned. The Charger is just plain boring. |

I would say the styling is a bit more than a splash where the Mustang is concerned. The Charger is just plain boring. Likewise the new Camaro and the Challenger...all of them look nice. The Challenger by far the most evocative. http://www.sprintusers.com/wallpaper...Concept-12.jpg But I'm pretty sure all of them will be typical American cars, all grunt and no guile. |
