Yes its pretty crazy,not as crazy as down in Dubai, some of the memberships down here are starting at 24,000 for a couple.

if you use the facilities a lot and get a lot out of it then i think it's worth a punt.
It could be pretty good value if you both use it 3-4 times a week including weekends.

16k is alot but we reckon we would use it at least 3 times a week and it would be somewhere for my wife to go when im working (without indians staring at her). the facilities and pool are great but your right the beach itself isnt the best. rotana are unwilling to accept monthly payments and will only offer 11k for 6 months (about 70% of the cost for 50% of the time). Maybe we will have to give it more thought..
