Default Wadi Bih boarder - open or not?

The usual question - I'm going to drive RAK to Dibba through Wadi Bih next week.

4 people - 2 UAE residents, 2 UK vist visas - will we get through the crossing point currently or do we need Omani visas?

Have crossed through fine 3 times before... but it's like shifting sands out there!

Anyone have recent info?

Thanks,

Auto

For the sake of the grief it will cause you, I'd get 4 omani visas from the omani consulate (just behind bank street, near pakistani consulate, it costs AED25 or so each and takes 30 mins to approve. Money well spent if you ask me!

Hmm - sounds sensible (not like you from what I can gather!)

What do you need, all persons there in person with their passports? No need for photos or the like?

30 mins you say - could do it in the morning of the trip? (It's a week day not Fri / Sat).

Cheers again.

Don't believe everything you hear bud!

No, you don't need all the people there, just one of you with the 4 passports and that's it. Try to get there early as it fills up around 11pm and if I where you I'd do it the day before, you just never know here!
