One of my flatmates is waiting on his employer to start his visa process, and his current tourist visa runs out on Wednesday.

He's thinking of flying to Doha tonight, and coming back straight away for a return fare of £92.

Does anybody know if he will need to pay for a visa stamp at Doha if he's getting straight back on the same plane?

from memory there is no other charge but things change all the time here, last time I did it years ago I literally landed got the stamp when to departures and came back here

Maybe too late, but there is a charge for entering Qatar, I can't remember the amount, I'll find out tomorrow though as I'm off there.

I would imagine that you won't be allowed to stay on the plane for the return, you might be considered a security risk, they'll need to clean the plane etc. This means that you'd have to 'enter' Qatar so you can check in for the return flight.

They charge you for entering Qatar- have you been to Qatar?- I can understand people would pay to leave but to enter

LAst time I was there, it was 100QR entry visa - credit cards only.

Qatar compared to Saudi was a breath of fresh air...
