Default Visa Renewal

My wife's visa renewal is due soon, usually a simple enough process and I am the sponsor. However I will be changing employers just after the renewal is due; will her new visa be cancelled when I change employers on the cancellation of my current visa?

Further complicated as she will only be in the country for short periods due to business over the next few months. ideally we would like to renew her visa now and for it to stay valid when I change employers, does anyone know if this is possible?

I have looked at abudhabi.ae without success.

Thanks!

yes when you change jobs all visas under your sponsorship will be cancelled as well.... i wouldnt bother renewing perhaps just do a border run instead.

in the past you could pay a deposit of 5k to "not touch" dependants visas but think they have gotten rid of that.....

but with anything here who knows on the day!

if she is flying in and out and can get a visit visa on arrival would cancel the visa and just do border runs in the meantime etc

You can still put dependants on hold with a 5k deposit, but not sure it would work in this case as the dependants are unable to leave the country whilst on hold.

hmmm not so in auh nowadays... have heard most visas have to be cancelled but i suppose its the government/semi ones that perhaps you can still do it with.

but as said you cant then "leave" the country once the process has started otherwise if you do it will be cancelled.

You can put the visas on hold with the deposit and proof from your new employer regarding your employment, salary, job title etc, however as BB says there will be no travel for your dependents allowed during this time.

You can call Immigration to answer any queries, they are very helpful
