Default Visa - Minimum Days

Hi,

Does anyone know if there are a minimum number of days to be in UAE in order to maintain a residence/working permit?

I know that visas are cancelled after more than 6 months being out of the country.

Please help!

there is no minimum that I am aware of? you can actually get a residence visa on arrival if the company you are working for are organised

you know what I don't know!! I just know people who have managed to get their visa on arrival, it must be conditional to the medical?

In fairness but not sure how, when I arrive 5 years ago, I arrived on an Employment Visa when I arrived. The company had arranged this in advance.

Still needed to do medical at later date for final stamping etc.

Some companies are organised.

Would still love to know the minimum number of days though, if anyone can help.

I am transferring to Freezone visa in order not to have to tell my bank that I will actually be living in India. Plan to be in UAE 3-4 times a year - but just for weekends.

I rather suspect your bank won't give a shit where you are living as long as you pay your loan repayments

I wish that was a 100% guarentee, BC. I have every intention of paying but have freaked myself out by reading about people getting travel bans put on them when banks have called in loans the moment they get a whif that someone has left their job!

Banks have no logic. I am so afraid that I cannot even approach them directly to discuss.

this gives all the info you need for visa stays there is no minimum length stated so as long as you come in within the 180 day limit then you should be fine.

how are you transferring to a freezone company if you aren't actually working for a freezone company?

I work in the freezone and you can only get a freezone visa if you are working for a freezone company.

Unless you know someone who knows someone who knows someone who knows someone etc.

Then he obviously knows a company in the freezone that does visas for people ..like a virtual visa, the same as a lot of companies in the freezone have "virtual desks"!
