Default Villas - which are best for children?

We are just moving to Dubai and will be looking for a Villa. Friends have advised the Springs, Meadows or Lakes. Does anyone recommend somewhere else and why?

Working in Emirate Towers area.

depends on your budget...those areas will take you about 20 mins i guess to get to work. Jumeirah is nearer, but more expensive than lakes/springs, probably now on a par with Meadows...

Could try Mirdiff- reasonably quick commute across Business Bay Bridge now.

That would be 20,000 Dhs a month I suppose, 240,000 a year?

Lakes is more expensive than the Springs and Meadows now, had a feeling it would be.

Could also try the Green Community- fairly easy commute down Emirates Road once you get past the dreaded roundabout and the villas/townhouses are huge.

I think I would rather kill myself than drive from the Green Community to Emirates Towers!!! BUT it is my favourite development and very hand as DH works at the DIP. I can wish!

The best ones are the Deemas, same as some of the 4 beds on the Meadows, they are selling at 5.2 - 5.5 mill hence the rental costs! madness isn't it ! BUT they have their own Choithrams! Bo**ocks

350K for a 5M+ property actually doesn't represent a fantastic return for the landlords by Dubai standards. You can buy a one bed apartment at the Greens for about 1.2M and rent it for 100K plus. On that basis the Lakes Villas are a bit of a bargain for the tenants.

Taking cover....

From the Springs it will take you about 30 mins to get to Emirates Towers, although frequently it is gridlocked from interchange 2 onwards so it could take you up to an hour. Going back home is fine, will take about 25-30 mins.
