Re: Villa Advice
*Big sigh of exasperation* Sorry, but not everybody on here is able to give instant responses to what appear to be specialised requests. Try ExpatWomen.com or whatever it's called ( entering expatwomen/woman in a search will no doubt get you to the website.) It seems more like the place to find the answers you are after.

450K!
Scratch the Meadows and Lakes.
Go for the Palm Jumeirah! You should be able to get a beachfront villa on the fronds for that much money.

At 450k you will be away from the rif RAF who frequent these pages. You will be in wilmslow to our wythenshaw.
It's a great budget so enjoy some luxury.

So many better places to live with that budget. Be open minded - and live near the school you find.

You have to admit that even blatant trolling like this is better than the complete silence we have become accustomed to over the last year or so..
Anyway if I had a housing allowance of 450K I would spend half on a villa and invest the rest on the local stock exchange. It's the closest thing to proper gambling you'll get in Dubai, but still better odds of making a profit than paying out of the nose to live in some extravagant location..

Re: Villa Advice
Hello
My family will be moving to Dubai in April and, we are in the process of researching villas to rent. so far we like to look of the Lakes and The Meadows however I understand that certain properties are better than others due to the age of the villas.
Our budget is in the region of 450K and would prefer to be in a area where there are other kids so our daughter can get to know other kids.
Any advice would be much appreciated!

Re: Villa Advice
If I had that sort of money, I would be looking at one of the detached 5-bed villas with pool and massive gardens on Jumeirah Islands.
