Dear Friends,
I need some experience / guidance here regarding renewing my existing mortgage. I have a residential mortgage since 2015 & lived in the property. I moved to middle east (Iraq on rotational basis) for last 3 years. My fixed mortgage product will come to an end on 30 Apr 2025 & I need to remortgage. I have let the property after I took up Iraq role. Property will be buy to let mortgage.
Based on the recent experience I have learnt that many mortgage lenders aren't offering mortgage as I am working in Iraq. The issue is if I remain with existing lender (Halifax), the interest rate will be too high.
Please can anyone advise which lenders should I contact who are expat friendly?
Appreciate the help please & thanks in advance
regards
