Hi,

I need to get my ID card renewed (and changed to a different Emirate - from a Sharjah visa to a shabby visa) but I don't have access to my passport at the moment.

Will a passport and visa copy do?

I'm thinking probably not but if you don't ask..... you'll never know.

Get a letter from the courts in Arabic stating they're holding it, keep that with you instead of your ID card, you'll be fine.

Nothing that I have been up to. More shite that my friend is in due to the banks being fraudulent....and me keeping em out of klink, just the usual really!

I'm not worried about being stopped or anything as I have a licence, labour card etc. More the fine and the ball ache of not having one as more and more things require an ID card now....

Good for you. My husband did that for a friend for some 6 months. The courts should be very helpful if you want a letter from them.

It was more the case of handing it over to get them out....

As we all know they are sneaky underhanded feckers the banks over here....
