Default UAE employment visa processing time (Abu Dhabi)

Hello, does anyone have a clue how long does the UAE employment entry visa to be ready?

I have done the occupational health checks for a public company (ADNOC) and sent them all attested paperwork. They have applied for my employment entry visa (I am now out of the UAE).

They applied for the employment entry visa 2-3 weeks ago.

I am just wondering how long does it generally take for the initial visa to be issued from forum members' experience?

Depends how good your PRO is. I handed my passport over to my PRO on the Tuesday, got my medical docs through the next day (and did the medical same day) and had my shiney new visa and my passport in my hand the monday after.

This, however, was a renewal and not a new application.... so I guess much quicker. 2-3 weeks sounds reasonable normally for a new application as long as you are easy to look into that is and provided all the relevant paperwork. I'd give it another week or two before you start worrying as we did have some public holidays recently and everything grinds to a halt during these times.

About 7 working days for work permit to be done in full and first parts of visa sorted.

Then medical shit and whatnot but you can be working at that point.

Have they done security and Tawteen clearance yet? Process is longer with government-related companies in Abu Dhabi, we usually allow for 6 weeks between offer acceptance and the employee's start date, and that's assuming there are no delays at any stage.
