True Or False?
Asked why the public holiday was declared for a Saturday rather than Sunday as many companies in the private sector have weekend offs on Friday and Saturday, Saqr Gobash (Minister of Labour) said: "As far as I know, the majority of companies in the private sector have only one day off, which is Friday"...true or false? What does the team think.

False - we as a company however have declared that the office will remain closed on Sunday

It depends on the project you are working on but as a whole my company have Fri and Sat off. I dunno what they are planning for the weekend, hopefully they will close on Sunday

Probably false for most of us as western expats in reasonable jobs, but overall for the UAE I would imagine it's true. Are you telling me all the construction workers, cleaners, shop assistants, hotel workers etc etc etc get 2 day weekends?

Its more of a buisness decision rather than morals. Its like saying lets celibrate christmas on the 26th instead of 25th as it will interupt our daily routine.
Where did ethics and morality go? Are they on vacation?
