Travel Insurance?
Anyone on here recommend a place to go to get travel insurance?
Seen something good with HSBC, but open to suggestions. Looking for an annual multi trip policy.
Thanks

I used AXA via HSBC for my ski trip in March. They do a fairly comprehensive package and seemed to be competively priced when I shopped around back then.

Re: Travel Insurance?
The difficulty I have encountered in the past is that if you are non-resident UK, none of the typical UK insurance policies cover you when you read the small print - they are only available to UK residents.
I'm lucky as at present I have a company policy which covers me on vacation, including ski-ing, but this has not always been the case.

Thats true and is why I took out a policy with Axa via HSBC here, in fact I had to make a claim and not only was it relatively hassle free, it was paid, not something i expected out here.

we have an add on to our bupa health insurance, bupa travel. covers multiple trips per year upto 180 days total, full medical evac, baggage etc was a pretty cheap option which seems to cover the usual bits. might be worth checking out, they also have no probs with it being an expat policy

Re: Travel Insurance?
Even the very wealthy know the value of insurance...here's what Winston Churchill had to say on the subject:
"If I had my way, I would write the word “insure” upon the door of every cottage and upon the blotting book of every public man, because I am convinced, for sacrifices so small, families and estates can be protected against catastrophes which would otherwise smash them up forever. It is the duty to arrest the ghastly waste, not merely of human happiness, but national health and strength, which follows when, through the death of the breadwinner, the frail boat in which the family are embarked, founders and the women and children and the estates are left to struggle in the dark waters of a friendless world.”

Re: Travel Insurance?
The one I found now has really good cover levels (British standards) and was less than US$ 100 for the whole year!
The company is called Columbus Direct (columbusdirect . com / UAE).
Hope this helps!

Well if you are living in UAE you are not entitled to NHS or reciprocal health agreements.
