Default Transferable driving licence

Hello, I was wondering whether anyone could help me with some information. I used to live in Qatar, and got a Qatari driving licence while I was there. I've since left the GCC, but I'm heading back soon, to Oman. Is it possible to drive in Oman using my Qatari licence, or get it changed to an Omani licence?

Thanks,
Elgin

think if you are not resident in qatar your licence is not valid, and so then you wouldnt be able to use in oman, you will need to get it changed i suspect.

Would I be able to just show up at the traffic dept and get it changed there and then? Or do the driving test?

Btw if I do have to take the test in Oman, can it be booked quickly and easily?

ifyou have a uk driving licence then you can transfer to an uae licence, you need the no objection paperwork etc, and then you can get a new uae licence. no need to do test in this case. the same for oman probably but who knows on the day.
