Default Things not to do in SYRIA!

When you visit Syria REMEMBER THESE THINGS WHICH ARE CONSIDERED AS "INSULTING":
-ENTERING MOSQUES WEARING SHOES .
-IMMODESTLY DRESSING.
- EXPOSING THE SOLES OF ONE'S FEET TOWARD A FACE OF SOMEONE .
THESE BEHAVIOURS ARE NOT ACCEPTED FOR SOME REASON.
REMEMBER ALSO NOT TO EXPRESS DISRESPECT FOR ISLAM.

This of course is basic manners in the middle east, hardly something the members here need telling.

I find pointing the soles of one's feet to someone rude anyway.

C'mon Syria (except Damascus Airport) is absolutely fine and welcoming - there is no need for pre planned o.t.t . excessive patronising politeness. It is more relaxed than UAE. The people are nice and the beer is adequate...

More importantly Happy Xmas, and by now for many; Happy Boxing Day.!

I like your posts more in poem form. Perhaps you could try this as a Haiku?
