Default Testing the waters..

Hi There

I am a 21 year old young woman, bored of like in the U.K looking to experience the world whilst I can.

I have looked at USA as I have family there and it really is so hard to get in ( aunts and uncles not parents!) Therefore I am currently looking at other international options to experience for a year or two or maybe three!

One of my top options would be Dubai- there seems to be a strong Young community of British expats over there- and that is really important to me without having family.

I currently am working within Human Resources for a Uranium Enrichment Company- I am a HR Secretary/Administrator (PA and HR Admin basically!) before I was working for a large well known British Telecommunications company as a Humam Resources Administrator. I would ideally like a role within these fields, luckily I have experience from both roles with events and recruitment, so they are options too- I wondered how hard It is to find roles in these fields, and how likely companies are to look towards British Employee's?

Also how long did it take for the whole job recruitment, visa, setting up process to happen? I have 3 months notice at my current role, and would not want that to jeopardise getting into Dubai, how long do Visa's usually take for someone with no Criminal Records?

Accommodation- what sorts of places do I look for house shares? I have no financial ties to the UK as in mortgage etc, so I would be looking for a house share?

Salaries- I am on around the 20,000.00 mark in the UK could I expect around the same in Dubai or less/more?

Any tips helps and advice would be appreciated- I know this is a massive step, and I want all my research before I go.. but the world is my oyster!

Thank you :-)

If you work for a uranium enrichment company, I'm sure that you could find a position in Iran...

Possibly worth looking at ENEC. Not sure how far along the power plants are though.

Nope!!! Not at all... Far from it! Can't even apply for a visa unless have a degree and job that a USA person can't do or parents are from USA.

you will probably struggle to get a work visa here without a degree.
