Can anyone recommend a good tailor in Dubai? I need 2 mans suits made for a wedding, but I don't want to look like a Bangladeshi waiter! I want some one who can copy a contemporary suit if possible. Long shot I know but any advice anyone could give me would be much appreciated.

I think you'll find Blue Cat (who is the definite lady to ask) would recommend Ascott Tailors, they have an ad on this page strangely! Others recommended used to be Lobo's, but that's a few years ago. There's also the one who has a shop in Jumeirah Beach Hotel, first floor, can't remember their name. They did great copies but were a bit expensive as in 'tourist' spot. Am sure Blue Cat will respond soon to your question (or try doing a 'search' and see what she said before).

Whistle & Flute in Satwa. Their shop is in a row behind Plant St, not far from Iranian Hospital.

Many thanks!
I went in a place called Threads and Stitches last night on the recommendation of a friend, and asked for any brochers they had. he produced the NEXT Directory from 2008. I then asked if he knew who Alexander McQueen was as I would like a suit copying of his SS13 collection, he looked at me blankly
I'm guessing I will have my work cut out here.
I really appreciate your advice and will report back with my successes or indeed failures!

Ascot and Chapels in Marina Mall, they are also based in DIFC so whichever is the better location.
