Sur or Rustaq, Oman
Hi, so I've got a choice between living in Sur or Rustaq, Oman. I'm leaning toward Sur because it seems to be a bit more developed, and is on the coast. Any Oman old hands have any advice? I'm a fairly chilled out person, I mostly enjoy keeping fit - is there a nice health club in these places? A resort with health club, pool and beach would be lovely.
And is there a significant expat population? I met a few ex-girlfriends from various countries who worked in shops and restaurants in Doha. Are Sur and Rustaq large enough to have this sort of population, or are they really just little villages out in the sticks?
Any other pros and cons would be most welcome

Sur has a bigger expat community (LNG) that Rustaq, but quite frankly, both locations are sticks

Sur in 1976 was known for its Dhow Building.
Nothing else.
