Stopping over in Dubai (27th/28th) on the way to Perth WA. Has anyone got any recommendations for things to see / do while there?

Stay at the airport and get to Perth on an earlier flight.

I would recommend doing the big bus tour, it leaves Wafi city every 30 minutes and will more or less take you round Dubai, gold souk, spice souk, museum etc. Or you could go to Sharjah!!!

Thanks for all the info, didn't realise there was so much info in the WIKI . It must be really difficult putting up with all the bloody tourists in a city which is doing everything it can to become so dependent on tourism...wouldn't you consider moving?

just ignore them, MH is right. Dubai is a great place but like every country it has it's down sides.

And give yourself loads of time when getting your flight to here - security is like a circus there
