Sohar life for UK expats
Hi,
it is me again!
There is a chance that my hubby would get a job in Sohar.
What about schools? I understands that there are two international schools, what are they like? Do they provide good enough education?
thanks for all replies
Helena

Doesn't really answer your question, really, just my opinion on things, but if you want any other info. I might be able to help, so P.M me.

What does the other half do for a living Helena and why the backwaters? Yanbu and now Sohar. Latter a better option though I guess.
Good luck whatever

hmmmmm
there is an International school in Sohar, and it has a good reputation, but there aren't many expats that live in Sohar. a lot live in Muscat, and poor husband has to do the 90-120 min each way commute each day, or.... drive up Saturday morning, stay somewhere grotty and drive back Wed afternoon.
Schooling is Muscat is tough as some year groups are VERY oversubscribed, others less so.
