How are the Iraqi peacekeeping forces doing in Luton? Desparate to get back to Basra I'd imagine.

Luton itself, nuff said.. but Silverjet have their own private terminal at Luton Airport, so no mixing with the great unwashed...

As suggested by Sam earlier, use them quickly because rumour has it that they won't be around much longer. Their business model is not favoured by financial analysts, one of whom has rated their share value as Nil...

I decided to go with emirates instead. I just could not be bothered to get my innoculations updated for the trip to Luton.

On a flexible ticket silverjet are not that disimilar in price to Emirates anyway.

Re: Silverjet

Have flown with Silverjet four times now.

The seat knocks Emirates awful effort into a cocked hat. The food is nice (from La Caprice I think) but the IFE is pretty limited (and clunky, it is actually a separate box and sits on your tray table making it quite tough to watch TV and eat) and the amenity kit is not up to much and the planes are old and quite a bit noisier than the competition.

Getting from Luton isn't so bad if you live West or North London but anywhere else it would be tough (you have to pay for the limo if you have anything other than the most expensive ticket) The Silver lounge in Luton is nice enough but its a weird experience boarding the plane. Oh...and the last time I went to Dubai on Silverjet, Jade Goody was sat near me :-(

For the price it is a top class service and if you don't mind the extra journey, a very very good alternative to BA, Virgin and Emirates.

I remember Jade Goody coming to Dubai...........

She was spotted lying on the beach - so some kind well-wishers doused her in sea water until the tide came in so she could be refloated......

Many have tried in this market, and almost all have failed, with Max Jet being the latest victim.

It has often been said that Luton women look like the back end of a bus.....

...... but of course there is a big difference between Luton buses and Luton women......

In Luton, you jump on a bus immediately after it comes, while on the other hand........
