Sidra Hospital
Hi
I am coming from the UK to work in Sidra Hospital in November.
I am searching the web to get a feel of the area and rental prices close to Sidra Hospital but I am having no luck finding anything as I am not familiar with the area and Doha.
Please could anyone advise on localities in the respect of the new hospital and amenities in the surrounding area.
Whats the area called around the hospital. I am lead to believe it is called Al Khuwair but I am having no luck finding properties for rent in this area.
Thank you in advance for any help you can provide.
Regards

You do realise Sidra isn't finished yet and the traffic along that road that it's ne is one of the worst in Doha, either way, anytime of day!

You're not coming until November , this city is changing week by week , whats applicable today will be a pain in the arse by next week .
Do yourself a favour and go out and buy The Explorer book on Qatar and that will give you a grounded view on Doha and it has a lot of info you'll find useful .
You lurch from the ridiculous to the sublime in Qatar so the best advice is wait until you arrive and pitch up and do the leg work .

Which discipline are you going to be working at?. I was, before I retired, a biomedical scientist specialising in clinical chemistry.

The best thing you can do is wait until you get here , get some temp accommodation then check out where you fancy living taking into consideration your budget and circumstances .

As I started in the 60's when we could specialise in two disciplines, my second one was micro, but from the mid 70's it was all clin chem, I started when you could get in with 'O' levels, I got in with 'A' levels, and then did all the specific qualifications, there were no degrees at that time, although the 'Finals' were supposedly equivalent to a BSc honours degree.
