I can't seem to find any threads or wikis on short-term housing rentals on this site - just ones for purchase or year leases.

Is there a source of info for leases for 6-months duration in Abu Dhabi?

On that note, as well advice on negotiating a 6-month contract would be helpful...

You wont find. Rentals are now are on a yearly basis. Even the Khalifa committe now insist on yearly only contracts

Think you will have to look at serviced appts, cost around 300 dhs per day and they are very standard.

hey, how long are you looking to rent for? Only asking because there are many rooms avaliable in AD on a monthly basis, sharing or non.. check out www.gulfnews.com I found quite a few on there. bit of a hassle find them all to view but for short term accomodation it could be easier than going through agents who ask for money..
