Sharjah Airport Anyone?
Has anyone been? Is it worth taking the car and parking for the duration or would a taxi may more prudent? Do they have a Duty Free at Arrivals like Dubai? Anything else I should prepare myself for?

They do have duty free for departures, didn't check returning as just wanted to get out of there.

The couple of times I been to Qatar, I flown from Sharjah
Taxi cost me AED130. Grub in departures was poor choice, but there is a Starbucks. Good Duty Free system, you buy your liquor on the way out and simply collect it on the way in.

The duty free shop after immigration in the arrivals hall doesn't sell booze any more.

Just paid Air Arabia an extra AED10 each way to select a window seat near the front of the plane and AED25 each way for a chicken meal. Do we have to bring our own toilet rolls do you think? Presumably the carpark is prohibitively expensive, hence the use of taxis by the posters on here.

I have used it about 10 times in the last few months and yes the food is cack. No problems buying booze on departure or arrival,on arrival instead of going straight to immigration go to departure 100 metres beyond. Immigration is sound if you have been to Jeddah its heavenley. Not as good as Dubai but what do you honestley expect?

Business class lounge can't be as bad as the one in Riyadh - where the choice of food is a week old croissant or pot noodles . . .
