Shared accommodation in Dubai

Shared accommodation in Dubai
Have just spent 3 very frustrating days in Dubai trying to find reasonable accommodation. In the UK you can find accommodation in a shared house - by that I mean where you have the use of the kitchen etc and you are not just paying for a room. Is there anything like that here for expats at a reasonable monthly rate? By reasonable I mean about Dhs 1,000 to Dhs 1,500 per month.

Yes a friend of mine has... Its a Villa in Umm suqaim, with swimming pool and stone throw away from beach..!
She wants to share it only with a female...!
