Default Saudi Marriage Legal/ Recognised in UK?

Guys.

Just need some advice if my marriage to a Saudi woman, done in Saudi Arabia according to Saudi courts and law will be legal in the UK. I have the documents in Arabic as proof which I can get translated. Or do I need to conduct a separate civil ceremony in the UK.

Thanks.

It will be recognised in the UK once it has been stamped by the Saudi Embassy in the UK.

Just a thought - I am a little suprised as a Saudi Woman looses her nationality if she marries a non Saudi National and normally the court does not allow such marriages.

Thanks for the info. :-)

I have got the Arabic marriage cert traslated so it should be ok to get it stamped by the Saudi Embassy in the UK.

A Saudi woman does not loose her nationality if she marries a non Saudi, however she does need to get prior approval from the Interior Ministry before marrying a non Saudi, which we did. Appoval mostly depends on the mans moral character, income, references from people and her fathers reccomendation. My wife still retains her Saudi Nationality.
