Hi All,
Hope everyone is well, just had an interview for a post in Saudi Arabia (Riyadh). The interview was very vague but seemed like a good prospect. My concern is salary and cost of living etc so wanted to get the experts in.
Been offered the below: Would like to know your thoughts on it. I have a wife and 4 children (aged between 7-14)
Basic -70k GBP
Transport Allowance 6000 GBP a year paid for by the company
Medical Insurance for family paid for by the company
Education allowance 20k SR per child per year. (16K GBP a year)
One month basic salary for flights home for the family. (6k GBP a year)
Performance bonus. Anything from 1 to 6 months of basic.
Ramadan and an Eid Bonus
Housing allowance they are waiting to get back to me but for a family of 6 what should I be looking at in terms of rental per month/year so I know I'm not getting fleeced.
I have seen recommendations for the following (l Nakhla, Al Bustan, Arizona, Cordoba or Wadi Qurtoba). What's important to my family are good amenities, medical, shopping and entertainment and locality to the airport (not as important as the rest) as I will be travelling back and forth from UAE quote regularly.

Package looks pretty standard for KSA, in terms of what is included. The amounts may differ depending on role and seniority.
Of the compounds you've mentioned, I'd go for Wadi Qurtoba , though not sure on how high the occupancy rate is these days, as it's relatively new. Would think rental on there for the size you're after will be around 300k SR per year.

Have you checked on the costs of education ? 20,000 SR might not be enough. Depends on the school.
