Saudi Arabia: How do I get a 300 rial refund from an exit-re-entry visa screw-up?
Greetings:
I live in Saudi Arabia and, in the very near future, I will be going on vacation. I gave my employer all the necessary documents, namely my passport, a photo, and an ATM receipt for 500 riyal for a multiple exit-re-entry visa. He, of course, got me instead only a single exit-re-entry visa for 200 riyal. I asked him if he could fix this situation (i.e., turn my single exit-re-entry into a multiple exit-re-entry), but he simply told me to get a refund of 300 riyal from the government. OK, I have no objection to doing this but I have no idea how to do this. Does anyone on this forum know how I can do this? Does anyone on this forum know the steps? Any information given is greatly appreciated.

Write it off. Forget it. Learn from the experience. No way will you get this back from the Jawaazat. Sounds like you have a lousy employer.

Not a chance. He pocketed the 300 rial. How would you get that back from the government without a receipt?
Agreed about the lousy employer - seriously consider if you want to return.

I know the answer. My fee for imparting that information would SAR250.

I had the same for a businessman visit visa a few years back but using an agent in Abu Dhabi.
They paid the 500 SAR but only managed to get a 250 (or 200) SAR single stamp once it was all processed.
I couldn't get the money back from the agent and they said they couldn't get it back from the Saudi Consulate.
Wrote it off.

Never tried myself:
Go to your internet banking -> Payments -> Goventment Payments -> Alien Control -> Refund -> Select service Type (Exit-Reentry visa Multiple) -> enter your Iqama# -> say "inshalla" three times -> Request -> ...and let us know how it works.

Isn't the SAR300 simply the agent's commission?

You might as well ask Ladbrokes to give you back your stake because you chose the wrong horse.
Forget it - and put it down to "tuition fees".

Forget about it. It's just one of the many taxes.
BTW you do know there aren't any women in KSA right?

One of the many taxes? Doesn't sound like someone who's lived in the UK then.
As another poster suggested, there is an option to request through internet banking.

Sigh. He means "expat tax" - like when you get charged double for your vegetables at the market, "cos you is white". Or the cost of always buying new sodding curtains, fridge, cooker, freezer, washer, car, etc. The "hidden" cost of being an expat that not everyone appreciates when they first move or have never moved.

Sigh. In this case it's nothing to do with hidden taxes. He was given the wrong type of visa - not overcharged because of his color or nationality. He should get a refund which would probably most easily done through his Internet bank account.
