Sabic?

I'm considering a position with SABIC in Riyadh.

How are they regarded as an employer?

I'm single and thinking I could put up with a year of resticted compound living (I've searched the Riyadh threads and would insist upon Al Hamra, Cordoba, Arizona Ranch, or Jadawel).

Thanks.

SABIC are no different to any other major government companies in Riyadh.
However, if your based out of the main Sabic building then Cordoba, Arizona,Phoenix and Al Hamra will be the closest to work.

If you are working in central Riyadh (Olaya street area) then Sahara Towers or Cedar Village will be closer.

Anyway.

Ensure you get a bloody good salary.
Ensure they let you keep your passport.
Insist on decent healthcare
learn how to brew your own alcohol.

They better able to provide security if things fall apart than non-government companies? They as likely to?

Wait till you've been here a month, you'll be praying for rain! It's getting to that time of the year where I almost give up smoking, the thought of going outside is not nice.
