And just to clarify, both myself and Northern Lad have extensive experience in Saudi, ranging from Jeddah on the west coast to Khobar/Dammam on the East.
We have lived and breathed KSA for years.
Personally, if the company i work for at the moment put me on a long term assignment there i would resign, the same as i have done previously.
I would sooner sell the big issue and live in a cardboard box than work there and live in an expensed villa on a fat salary.
You came on the site for advice, and advice was given. IF you choose to disregard that then fine, i wish you all the luck in the world.
personally I would hold out for Bahrain or UAE
