Default Restaurants in Dubai

I really need some help with restaurants in Dubai, I am new here and therefore I am not aware of the "must visit" restaurants. Please help!

Well, I have a craving for some good thai food & high end indian food! Also, where are the best "late-night" cheap eats?
Thanks!

Stars for me so far are as follows in order of preference:

1. Al Mahara at the Burj Al Arab - a fabulous, although v. expensive fish restaurant. The experience is pretty magical.
2. Jun Sui also at the Burj Al Arab - excellent Asian food and one the most romantic bars in Dubai
3. Buddha Bar at the Grosvenor - very good Japanese and Thai food, and a fun atmosphere
4. Yalumba or Al Qasr for brunch
5. The Meat Co. at the Madinat - reasonably priced and generally very good steaks

For Thai - we've had this discussion recently...

Indian - Iz @ Grand Hyatt gets good reviews... Not "Hi end" but I love Coconut Grove at Rydges Plaza for curry... others love Ravi's on Al Diyafa...

Welcome to the board...

Also check out timeout dubai online - reviews, directions and phone nos.

Don't forget to book in advance - the restaurants get real busy.

Welcome, soon-to-be-not-hungry-person.

MJ's at Al Qasr is better for steaks

Regarding Yalumba - I can't agree it is the home of a quality brunch in terms of the food - people generally go there to drink as much bubbly as they can in 3 hours or so...

The food at Al Qasr for brunch is far better

But Yalumba brunch has a la carte as well as a buffet.

You may go to brunch just to get bladdered, but not everyone does.
