well we have been through many a renewal for visas here in AD (anyway) and always a chest xray this is always done at al noor, so perhaps its the hospital which 'are doing it' so as always here in this place it depends on the time and place:rofl:

As of 1/1/09, all residency medical checks in AD have to be done by the Abu Dhabi Health Authority. These are done at Sheikh Khalifa Hospital in AD. My work colleague went for his tests yesterday and waited for around 3 hours for a number. Tried his luck this morning at 5:30am and there was around 100 people waiting. Think Emirates ID but worse...

The Al Noor clinic adjacent to the hospital for the residency medical tests is still open, I went past it last night?

Dug this out from the National website

http://www.thenational.ae/article/20...73341449570282

From the article:-

From Jan 1, the Disease Prevention and Screening Centres will be the only recognised test centres in the capital, requiring longer hours.

As usual - confusion reigns!

Also, a woman is exempt from the chest x-ray if she is pregnant.

It's so strange, I really don't know what mine's all about, will just keep it in my wallet and see if I ever need it.
