Default Registering tenancy contract with Ejari

Hi all,

Any one any idea what this is all about. There was a note in my lift saying for all tenants to receive their contract attested by Ejari (which is compulsory) you have to pay 200 dirham to the landlord? WTF

Is this yet another money making scam?

Anyone know anything about it?

KC

My understanding is that the attestation is only needed for those trying to sponsor their families, so you need not worry.

It's now a legal requirement that all contracts are registered. It's easy and straightforward to deal with.
