bought Mrs Insel an Eee PC 900 - screen size is ok but i struggle with the small keyboard. She likesit though.
The Linux version I got her is handy for its quick boot up/down speeds. abt 10 seconds

I bought a Samsung NC10 each for myself and mrs typical. Black for me, pink for her 
They're utterly brilliant.
I've heard the Asus EEE 1000HE is even better. Not sure if it made it to the UAE yet though.

i currently have an eepc900 which i think is ace but am waiting for the t91 touchscreen to be released....drool drool.
