Default Re-locating to Abu Dhabi

Good morning,

I am currently awaiting a formal offer for a position in Abu Dhabi and would appreciate any advice from those familiar with living and working in the city. I have undertaken a fair amount of research, but I am particularly interested in additional insights regarding affordable areas for renting studio apartments, cost‑effective car rental options, and any general guidance for relocating to Abu Dhabi from the UK.

As a single professional aiming to keep living costs as low as reasonably possible, I would be grateful for recommendations on budget‑friendly neighbourhoods and practical ways to manage day‑to‑day expenses.

My role will be based in the Al Hisn, Al Markaziya district, which I understand is a relatively expensive area. Ideally, I would like to live within a reasonable driving distance, so any suggestions on suitable nearby locations would be very helpful. I would also appreciate information on public transport links serving this area.

Thank you in advance for any advice you can share.
