Hey All,
New to the forum but have been reading posts for a while.
Just received a formal offer from HIA - QA Group.
20K QAR basic
8k QAR Accommodation or Company apartment (prefer company accommodation after seeing some the rent prices!)
1500 QAR Travel
300 QAR Utilities
Full Medical
Child Education up to 90K QAR (got no kids)
Plus all the usual QA perks with airline tickets etc.
Wanted to get some feedback on this total package?
Going out on my own.
In the UK I have a total Gross package of £75K. I don't live to extravagantly, but I do like a nice car.
Cheers

OK. if you are alone, Then 20K QAR and accommodation are good, but I doubt if this is what the position worth. Mind you, amid COVID-19 Qatar Airways fired (i.e. made redundant) hundreds of people including pilots with 20+ experience. There is no ethics and 0 job security. My advice to all who come to this part of the world plan your exit before you start.

Don't look at the salary, look at the difference in savings. You'll do okay on 20k a month as a single guy but it's not great money. Expect to save 15k a month maybe if accommodation and car etc are covered and you're not going out too much.
You said you get flights covered, but factor in that holidays cost money when you get there.
Personally speaking, unless it's a major uplift in savings for you I wouldn't bother.
