There are some places that are a little bit more posh....but do not expect Dubai standards. The hotels here all have their bars and clubs. To meet people there, I don't know, I go with a group, so no need to make aquaintances. I have house parties, so get invited to those by others. To meet people in general, well, there are coffeemornings,( not my kind of thing though) bazaars and you'll probably meet people on the compound, if you decide to live on one , that is. I have to say, it took me a while to make friends here, although I am a pretty sociable person. Others made friends immediately..as I said, depends on what you are looking for and what kind of a person you are. |
