Re: Property Agent
Hi All,
I must say we have been supprised in that the landlord or landlady has come through good and called us early this morning to make arrangement to meet and to hand over a set of keys to the house. So although the guy has done a bit of a runner with the commission money, which I guess he has earned in some way. He has however, not behaved in a very profeesional way and has made us mindfull of how we go about finding our next home when we get moved on again following the end of the contract. |
Re: Property Agent

Illegal in Europe and the USA as well. The same applies for predating them. Even cheque's from outside the EU. Any EU bank will simply cash them in all at the same day. If they bounce? You're up shit creek.
Never bounced a cheque though - might try just to see what happens :D N. |

Nothing happens, apart from the bank fee! They'll try it about 3 times before giving up and sending the cheque back to the person who deposited it with a polite note that they might want to contact the person who wrote the cheque. I've stopped cheques before and recieved some that went on to bounce.

Start by reading this http://britishexpats.com/wiki/UAE_Wills then you may want a chat with me. - Besides, they can't get at foreign accounts, can they, so it's fine. I do have my own accounts (and joint account) in GB, btw... it's just here that I've stepped back in time. I should have put "I haven't even got my own bank account here" |
