Default Potential move from UAE to Qatar

Hi there
I moved from London last year to the UAE and I have a potential offer to move to Qatar. I want to check on the forum if someone else also moved from UAE to Qatar, and do they like it there? What are the positives / negatives? Are there enough opportunities for women, as my wife is currently working and would want to continue working in similar role?

Also what are some of the good British schools? Are they as good as the ones in the UAE like BSAK/ BCAD/ BIS/ NAS?

can someone also please recommend some good communities to live with family.

Thanks!!

Default Re: Potential move from UAE to Qatar

Too many questions.
I lived in Qatar but not UAE, where I have been for visits only.

Qatar is probably 10 years behind UAE, and much smaller. The market is too small with much fewer opportunities. Living cost is probably similar unless you compare it to Dubai or Abu Dhabi, where Qatar is still cheaper as no VAT imposed yet. The economy of Qatar has been going down after the world cup. There are many fairly good British schools in Qatar.
