Well after 4 years here I really want to go home now.
Does any one have any idea of shipping costs back home of a 20ft container.
I know its probably not cost effective but the children want their possessions and toys around them.
Thanks for any help you can give. I did speak to a relocation's company but they will not even give an indicative cost!

Crown Relocation in AD charge AED32k for a 20ft container from AD to UK, including insurance and disassembly / packing in AD and un-packing re-assembly in UK. My company uses them regularly. Cost is competitive with others.

Got quotes ranging between BD2.2 to 2.6K from Bahrain to the UK about a month back if that helps. This prices excluded insurance.

That sounds expensive. We just paid AED 27k for a 40' container - Pickfords International packing/unpacking in full etc. Insurance through the shipping companies is usually a complete rip-off. We did it direct with a Lloyds' broker for GBP 350.

We used Acorn and it was 17,000 dhs for a very full 20ft container Dubai to SE england. Service Dubai end was brilliant. Bit shit at UK end but everything got here on time and nothing broken. All packing, disassembling, assembling etc.
